Objectives

• Set out to develop a joint understanding, definition and scope of Comprehensive Cancer Infrastructures (CCIs) along with a set of criteria to assess and improve CCIs in all EU Member States
• Embed the defined quality criteria in a maturity model, which will be the contextual backdrop to assess CCI maturity and to develop tailored interventions to increase the individual CCIs’ maturity level

Objectives

• Collect structured information and data from EU Member States and associated countries on the functioning and organization of cancer research and its integration with cancer care, and the presence and level of maturity of already existing CCIs
• Analyse the results in the CCI MM
• Cluster the CCIs according to type, size and level of maturity
• Choose a putative list of CCIs for Deep Dive intervention in WP6

Objectives

• Design a tailored CB intervention which meets the needs of each CCI in a Member State or an individual region within a Member State

Objectives

• Design a digital infrastructure to host the learning needs assessment of CCIs, implement online educational materials
• Organise the already available digital infrastructures, indexed and cross-indexed in sections relevant to each group of CCI stakeholders in an easy to search and access repository
• Develop capacity building interventions as online learning opportunities
• Prepare online materials that address CCI stakeholders’ needs and competencies

Title Implementation and follow-up of onsite CB interventions

D6.2 – Final Report on 3 regional CB conferences

Objectives

• Implement and follow-up of the Deep Dive tailored capacity building site visits designed in WP4, with the intention to have impact at the Individual, Institutional, and Systemic levels. Up to 9 Deep Dive sites will have been identified in WP3, distributed between the different clusters of maturity.
• Constitute multidisciplinary expert CB teams to perform 3 site visits each over 2 years, interspersed with videoconferences to manage the interventions.
• Report on standards with milestones, with final QI data at the end of the interventions being fed into the maturity model.
• Deliver three regional clinico-scientific conferences open to all MSs and participating ACs on building capacity.

Deliverables D7.1 – Final report on CB impact and recommendations for future CB implementation

Objectives

• Make recommendations coming out of WP5&WP6 of how CCIs can scale up and continue to develop sustainably.
• Produce a final report of the impact of Capacity Building interventions in each site and across the EU Member States.
• Develop recommendations on how to structure future capacity building projects and how to develop and grow CCIs in different contexts.
